Managed Apple Accounts in November 2024: A Coda

Each of the last two years, I’ve picked an emerging topic in Mac Admin life and given a three-phase presentation. I start with the current state of play in May or so for MacAD.UK, the post-WWDC state of play in July at MacAdmins, and then the post-New Version release version at MacSysAdmin. Last year, it was great for Software Updates, and this year it, was… mostly great for Managed Apple Accounts.

Except for the part where they hadn’t released the last part before the conference Göteborg last month! So there was a lot of “How do you keep a Mac Admin in suspense?” in the talk. What I decided to do was to write a coda to my talk, record it, and release it for everyone.

Now that Apple has detailed more of what happens when you convert a Personal Apple Account to being a Managed Apple Account, I’ve released that short talk. It’s about 15 minutes and covers the late October/early November changes. Enjoy!
